B-52 Brewing Company is located in Conroe, Texas. More specifically it is just a block off the 105, a few minutes west of Interstate 45. Unlike its namesake I didn’t see any bombers flying around, but the taps were flowing on this beautiful hot Texas Summer day. The vibe was good and I couldn’t have been happier to be posted up at the bar enjoying some of Texas’ Top Craft Beer. God bless Texas!
If you are coming in from out of town, it can be a little tricky to find so just make sure and keep an eye out for the signs and you will be fine. This is one of the more beautiful craft beer experiences you will find in Conroe. The brewery is set back in a canopy of trees and they have horse shoes, washers and a ping pong table among other games situated around what seems like a camp ground. I really like this place!
Everyone is friendly here and it is a very inviting atmosphere which comes as no surprise here in Texas. We even got a chance to talk with one of the owners for bit. He explained that him and his brother are just living the dream here and enjoying every minute of it with his friends, family and the community.
I read that they have the best bathrooms… it’s true! You will see what I mean when you get there. If you are visiting from outside Conroe touring the Top Texas Craft Breweries, then make sure B-52 Brewing company is on your list. You will usually find awesome food trucks here as well. This brewery clearly defines my motto… Good Food, Good Beer, Good Times!

Good Eats says you need to taste the beers below at B-52 Brewing Company…
Wingman Wheat IPA
Aroma: Hops dominate the nose with tropical, citrus, floral, lemon, and grapefruit notes. These aromas come from Falconer’s Flight hops; a blend of Pacific Northwest varieties including Citra, Simcoe, and Sorachi Ace. Slight fruity esters can be noticed from the English ale yeast.
Appearance: Pale amber in color with a slight haze resulting from the wheat and dry hops. Pours with an off-white head leaving a nice lace on the glass.
Flavor: A true session IPA with medium hop flavor and moderate bitterness, well-balanced with a pleasant malt flavor. American ale yeast leaves a clean tasting beer accentuating the hops.
Mouthfeel: Smooth medium-bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation result in an overall dry finish balanced well with the malt sweetness.

Breakfast Stout
Aroma: Strong coffee aroma with hints of chocolate and toffee.
Appearance: Intensely black with a lingering off-white to tan colored head.
Flavor: Very strong black coffee up front that finishes with subtle notes of dark chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation accentuates the silky mouthfeel of the oats with a dry finish.

Saison Hop Series
Aroma: Each release in this series showcases a different hop, so aroma will change with each batch. Heavily dry hopped to highlight the unique characteristics of each specific hop, this beer has a very strong hop aroma with with light, grainy, spicy wheat aromatics.
Appearance: Very pale straw in color with a slight haze. Pours with a dense, white head with excellent retention.
Flavor: Pleasant sweetness with a zesty, orange-citrusy fruitiness. Refreshingly crisp with a dry, slightly tart, finish. A spicy-citrusy hop flavor is strong with low hop bitterness and doesn’t interfere with refreshing character of the beer.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body that finishes dry and a bit tart. Highly carbonated with effervescent character. Very refreshing, from carbonation, light acidity, and lack of bitterness in finish

Double IPA
Aroma: This beer is for the hop-heads. Heavily hopped with Simcoe and Amarillo, this beer has a resinous pine aroma along with strong citrus notes.
Appearance: Amber in color with a slight haze resulting from the heavy dose of dry hops. Pours with an off-white head leaving a nice lace on the glass.
Flavor: A well balanced double IPA with very strong hop flavor and high bitterness. The malt character is appropriately balanced and a very nice complement to the heavy hop presence. American ale yeast produces a clean tasting beer accentuating the hops.
Mouthfeel: Moderate body and medium carbonation produce a well balanced yet extremely drinkable double IPA.
